Abstract
This paper provides a comprehensive review of sentiment analysis (opinion mining) approaches and challenges in Kurdish social media texts. It systematically explores lexicon-based, machine learning, and deep learning architectures tailored for low-resource languages, addressing Kurdish dialectal variations (Sorani, Kurmanji), dual script systems (Arabic-based and Latin-based), data scarcity, and informal short-text preprocessing on digital platforms.
