Abstract
This chapter proposes a decentralized framework integrating blockchain technology into healthcare records management systems in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. By addressing challenges of fragmented data, security vulnerabilities, and interoperability across electronic health records (EHR), the framework employs cryptographic controls, distributed ledger technology, and automated smart contracts to ensure tamper-proof, privacy-preserving, and patient-centric health record management.
