From Data to Thesis: Research Data Analysis with R
Playground, Chapter 17: Reproducible Research

How to use this project
1. Double-click chapter17.Rproj. RStudio opens with this folder as the working directory.
2. Open results.qmd and click Render. Then open exercises.txt and work through the
   Quarto and Shiny tasks.
3. exercises.R holds the R parts of the playground page, in four parts
   (practise, go further, check your understanding, do it yourself); run a line
   with Ctrl+Enter. Answers are in solutions.R.
4. Finished versions of the Quarto and Shiny files are in the solutions folder,
   for after you have tried.

You need Quarto, which is installed with RStudio, and these packages (install once):
install.packages(c("dplyr", "ggplot2", "knitr", "rmarkdown", "shiny", "bslib"))
For PDF output you also need LaTeX: run quarto install tinytex in the Terminal.

Please note: Elaf and her data are fictional. The data was generated by a
computer program to look realistic, and its patterns were built in by the
author. It describes no real people and is not evidence about real students;
do not cite or use it as research findings.
